Beide Orte liegen zwar 15 Kilometer auseinander, sind jedoch eng miteinander verkn\u00fcpft. Einst verband ein unterirdisches Rohrsystem die Zentren der Salzgewinnung. 1774 erbaute Ledoux, ein wegweisender Architekt Louis&#8216; XV., die Manufaktur  der Saline Royale. Die Geb\u00e4ude k\u00f6nnen heute wieder besichtigt werden und sind ein anschauliches Zeugnis der aufkl\u00e4rerischen Architektur. Der Bau damals wurde n\u00f6tig, da im Gebiet um Salins-les-Bains jegliches Holz aufgebraucht war, welches in den Sudh\u00e4usern verbrannt wurde, um die Sole zu verdampfen. Bereits seit dem 8. Jahrhundert gewann man hier das wei\u00dfe Gold, was jedoch im Jahr 1962 eingestellt wurde, da die Rentabilit\u00e4t nicht mehr gegeben war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-1
